Green Soy Bean Curry
I happened to come across fresh soy beans ( Edamame) in the market. So, I decided to try out a curry with this as it is full of proteins. The soy beans with pod and after removing from the pod look like this:-

Ingredients:-
Method of preparation
- Soy bean after removing from the pod – 200 grams
- Onion 1no
- Tomato 1 no
- Cumin seeds(Jeera) -1/2 teaspoon
- Mixed spices (Garam masala) ½ teaspoon
- Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Asafetida 1 pinch
- Ginger 1 inch piece
- Almonds 2 nos
- Fresh Cilantro (coriander) few strings
Method of preparation
- First of all cook the soy bean in a pressure cooker with sufficient water.
- In a mixer grinder, grind onion and tomato along with almonds.
- In a pan, dry fry cumin seeds (jeera).
- Now add the ground mixture to the pan and fry till the fresh smell goes.
- Now, add all the dry ingredients and fry.
- Add the cooked soy bean and salt to taste.
- Finally, add the cut fresh cilantro(coriander)
- Now the dish is ready to serve.
